Eucalyptus ESSENTIAL OIL

Eucalyptus globulus
Native to Australia and known to them as Tasmanian blue gum, the Aborigines taught its first medicinal uses. The name comes from the Greek word eucalyptos, meaning well covered. It refers to the flower buds which are covered by the caps—called opercula. Mainly used in traditional medicine mixed with topical ointments to support wound healing, various uses of eucalyptus have spread to other traditional systems around the globe, including Chinese, Indian (Ayurvedic), and Greco-European systems over the past centuries.
